Category Archives: Travel So I was in Israel for 10 days and I got back last week. It was such an amazing experience, we went from Tel Aviv, up to Nazareth, down the west along the Jordan River, to the dead sea (I swam in there!) and then down to Jerusalem. It was probably the most enlightening trip I’ve...  I spent my last week volunteering in Wayne NJ, with Samaritan’s Purse, helping to clean up some of the homes after the hurricane Irene hit. There were fallen trees, flooding up to 20 inches and just homes that were completely damaged due to extreme weather circumstances that they were... no comments  Little boys loved chasing after our truck and climbing on once in awhile as we drove along the dirt roads. It was cute. no comments  So for a good portion of my days in Rwanda, I’ve was staying in Butare- which is a little further out from Kigali. It was about a 2 hour bus ride It’s basically the “country-side” and the home to the University of Rwanda (NUR). We stayed in a Hostel- which was actually a Nunnery.
